Full Costs and Charges for becoming a driving instructor are listed below but in addition trainees wishing to pay for the full course in advance can receive a discount of £150.00 on the total cost. In addition, there are various books and DVDs that you will need to purchase.
Details will be given in your Introductory Session (the total outlay on books and DVDs should not exceed £125.00).
Training to be an Instructor
Introductory Session (Two Hours) Free of Charge
Part One Training (Six Hours) £210.00
Part Two Training (Ten Hours) £330.00
Part Three Training (Forty Hours) £1400.00
The above can be paid on a “Pay As You Go” basis as follows :
Part One – Payable in Full before commencement
Part Two – Payable in Two instalments of £165.00 each
Part Three – Payable in four instalments of £350.00 each
Additional Training
If you require any additional or remedial training, the costs are as follows :
Part One - £30.00 per hour.
Part Two - £32.00 per hour.
Part Three - £33.00 per hour
Additional Costs
The DSA levies the following charges :
Part One Examination Fee - £90.00
Part Two Examination Fee - £111.00
Part Three Examination Fee - £111.00
Upon successful completion of all 3 examinations, you will be invited to join the Register of Approved Driving Instructors. Entry to the register costs £300.00 and lasts for a three year period.
Check Test or Remedial Training for Existing ADIs
This is chargeable on an hourly basis at £33.00 per hour.
Business Development Courses
We offer a 5 hour business development course at a cost of £150.00
We are able to build a website for your business - costs start from £350.00 plus an annual
maintenance charge.
